under Armour Curry 1 ‘Championship Pack’
Release Date: October 20, 2015
The Curry 1 ‘Championship Pack’ is a special double-pair set, presented in an exclusive, high-quality box with pull-out drawers. The box is designed in white with gold accents, housing two distinctive pairs: the ‘Splash Party’ (white) and ‘The Moment’ (black). Both colorways were worn by Stephen Curry during the 2015 NBA Finals as he led the Golden State Warriors to their first NBA Championship in 40 years.
The ‘Splash Party’ pair was initially created as a Player Exclusive (PE) for Stephen Curry’s 27th birthday in March 2015. The predominantly white shoe features a confetti print throughout the upper and sock liner, with matte silver detailing on the midsole and heel cup. The personal edition worn by Curry featured a ‘chrome’ version of the silver midsole and heel cup, which was ultimately banned by the NBA due to its highly reflective, mirror-like finish. A single pair version was later released to the public on November 3, 2015.
Curry first debuted the ‘Splash Party’ on his birthday, March 14, 2015, against the New York Knicks, contributing 25 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists, and 6 three-pointers in a 125-94 victory. The pair was most famously worn on June 14, 2015, during Game 5 of the NBA Finals, where Curry scored 37 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 7 three-pointers in the Warriors’ 104-91 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The ‘Moment’ pair, released exclusively with the ‘Championship Pack,’ features a predominantly matte black design, highlighted by yellow accents on the outsole, ‘UA’ logo, and ‘SC30’ branding. A water droplet design element is also incorporated into the midsole. Curry debuted the ‘Moment’ on June 9, 2015, during Game 3 of the 2015 NBA Finals, but it is most notably remembered for its appearance on June 16, 2015, in Game 6, where Curry scored 25 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, and 3 three-pointers to help secure the Warriors’ championship victory.
