Curry 12 ‘What The Bay’
Release Date: February 14, 2025
The Curry 12 ‘What The Bay’ was officially unveiled on December 22, 2024, at Sneaker Con Bay Area in Santa Clara, CA. Stephen Curry introduced the sneaker on stage alongside Bay Area icon E-40, presenting it to an audience of passionate sneaker enthusiasts.
Designed to reflect the duality of San Francisco and Oakland, the shoe features an asymmetrical color scheme that pays homage to both cities, where Curry has spent his entire professional career. The left shoe incorporates blue, gray, and red hues, symbolizing San Francisco’s water, fog, and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. In contrast, the right shoe showcases orange, yellow, and gray tones, representing Oakland’s vibrant sunsets and the Bay Bridge. Unique design elements include city gridlines on the outer midsole TPU and insoles, Velcro-backed tongues featuring the area codes “415” (San Francisco) and “510” (Oakland), and an airbrushed gradient suede upper, adding a distinctive aesthetic.
