Under Armour Anatomix Spawn Stephen Curry PE ‘Blue Splash’
Release Date: April 16, 2014
After signing with Under Armour in the summer of 2013, Stephen Curry wore the Anatomix Spawn throughout the 2013-2014 NBA regular season, marking the beginning of his partnership with the brand.
Stephen Curry debuts the ‘Blue Splash’ colorway on April 10, 2014 in a loss against the Denver Nuggest, 99-100 - scoring 24 Points, 7 Rebounds, 6 Assists, 4 Steals and shooting 2 of 7 three-pointers.
The Anatomix Spawn was Under Armour’s flagship basketball model in 2014, worn by several of its top athletes, including Brandon Jennings and Kemba Walker, each showcasing their own Player Exclusives (PEs) throughout the season. Among the most notable releases was the ‘Blue Splash’ colorway, designed to reflect the Golden State Warriors’ team colors. The shoe featured a blue upper with a water-swirl pattern on its synthetic material, complemented by contrasting yellow accents on the laces and outsole.
While Under Armour introduced a limited selection of Stephen Curry PEs during the season, the ‘Blue Splash’ colorway received a special release just ahead of the Warriors’ 2014 playoff run. This edition was available in limited quantities and sold exclusively at select Foot Locker locations in New York and San Francisco, as well as on the Under Armour website.
