Curry 8 ‘Forever Oakland’

Release Date: May 7, 2021

During the 2020–2021 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors introduced their City Edition jerseys, a tribute to the legendary 2006–07 “We Believe” team. The design featured a dark navy base accented with vibrant orange and yellow, with “Oakland” emblazoned across the chest in a typeface echoing that of the original jerseys from the memorable season.

On February 17, 2021, Stephen Curry debuted a special mismatched pair of Curry 8s—featuring the “Forever Oakland” and “We Believe” colorways. In a standout performance, Curry posted 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists, leading the Warriors to a 120–112 overtime victory over the visiting Miami Heat.

The Curry 8 “We Believe” boasts a classic white Flow outsole, with an upper dressed in the City Edition color palette. A lightning bolt detail on the side panel pays homage to the Warriors’ late-1990s logo, blending nostalgia with modern design elements.

On May 7, 2021, the Curry 8 “We Believe” edition was released exclusively at the Warriors Shop at Chase Center in San Francisco, with availability limited to just 30 pairs.

Further commemorating the legacy, on February 14, 2025, Curry Brand launched a surprise drop of an additional 30 pairs at Shoe Palace in Union Square, San Francisco, in celebration of 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend.
